The article considers the leading ideas of the Russian psychological thought of the 17th century, which became a kind of impulse for the subsequent development of Russian psychology. The article uses historical and psychological reconstruction, a bibliographic method that facilitates the systematization of basic materials and sources, as well as a psychological interpretation of the ideas about the person, his potential capabilities, struggle and work, those cardinal issues that affect the very meaning of his existence.
