THE PSYCHOLOGICAL IMPACT OF COMPUTER AND CONSOLE VIDEO GAMESON YOUNG PEOPLE

The article reviewed some Russian and foreign literature about the psychological impact of computer and console video games on adolescents and young people. The classification of video games is also presented. According to the literature analysis there are some selected genres of video games that may have a particularly strong impact on an adolescent’s psyche. Actual and procedural deficiencies about the problem of the psychological impact of video games on adolescents and young people have been defined here.
